PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil

Cleansing agent that can also be used as an emulsifier and solubilizing agent to improve formulary esthetics and performance.

PEG-75

A type of polyethylene glycol that can be used as a humectant to boost skin’s hydration and/or as a solvent that improves the overall texture of a formula by helping ingredients stay together. 

Heptyl Undecylenate

Plant derived emollient used to help hydrate skin. Also included in formulas to reduce the greasy after-feel of other emollient ingredients.

PEG-75 Shea Butter Glycerides

Chamaecyparis Obtusa Leaf Extract

Functions: Skin Conditioning. We have not yet rated this ingredient because we have not had a chance to review the research on it.

Capryloyl Glycine

Amino acid derivative that works as a skin-softening agent and helps protect skin’s surface from water loss. In certain formulations, it can also be used as a cleansing agent.

Hexyldecanol

A synthetic, non-drying fatty alcohol used as an emollient and skin-conditioning agent.

Sodium Palmitoyl Sarcosinate

Sodium palmitoyl sarcosinate is the salt of palmitoyl sarcosinate, which is derived from the amino acid derivative sarcosine.

Caprylyl Caprylate/Caprate

A synthetic ester blend of medium chain fatty acids and fatty alcohol that works as an emollient.

PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate

This ingredient partially derived from coconut helps soften skin and serves as an emulsifier and surfactant in skin care products. It has been ruled safe as used in cosmetics.
