Dimer Tripeptide-43 Description
Dimer tripeptide-43 is a proprietary synthetic peptide developed by cosmetics ingredient supplier Ashland. When combined with water and butylene glycol, it is known by the trade name Prolixir S20™.
Ashland claims this peptide has antioxidant properties and can “maintain defense of aged skin” plus improve the look of fine lines and wrinkles. There isn’t a wealth of independent research yet to back these claims; however, many peptides can improve the look and feel of skin.
We will continue to monitor emerging studies and update this definition when they become available. Supplier-recommended use levels of dimer tripeptide-43 ranges from 0.5–2% when supplied in a water and butylene glycol carrier.
