Betula Alba (Birch) Juice at a Glance
- AKA birch juice
- Derived from the Betula alba tree
- Helps hydrate skin
- Great source of trace minerals and amino acids
Betula Alba (Birch) Juice Description
birch tree. It’s also commonly referred to as birch juice.
Unlike maple or most other types of sap, birch juice is clear and doesn’t have much flavor, it’s just slightly sweet. The juice is a good source of trace minerals like manganese as well as various amino acids, all of which make it a good natural hydrator for skin--but more research is needed before we have a complete understanding of how the various nutrients in birch juice benefit skin (or when the juice is consumed, as birch sap has seemingly replaced coconut water as the new must-have super-drink).
