Anthocyanin Description
Group of naturally occurring substances found in plants that give fruits, vegetables, and plants their unique color. Derived from two Greek words meaning plant and blue, anthocyanins are the pigments that make blueberries blue, raspberries red, and so on. Anthocyanins are potent antioxidants. More than 300 different anthocyanins have been identified.
